Volleyball is close to Mr. Panem Hanimi Reddy’s heart, and he has been involved in the promotion of the game both at the grassroots and national levels.

The primary reason Mr. Panem Hanimi Reddy took up the Chennai franchise in the Prime Volleyball League was to provide more opportunities to young Indian players as well as give them a chance to compete and showcase their skills in a high-quality field, given that the tournament will also feature leading international players among the various franchises.

Apart from Mr. Panem Hanimi Reddy, the Chennai Blitz’s core management team comprises Mr. Kiran Kumar MR (Chief Executive Officer), Thulasi Reddy (Chief Technical Officer) and Sabari Rajan (Chief Operating Officer).

“The PVL will provide the much-needed impetus to take the game to the next level in India,” CEO Mr. Kiran Kumar said. “Tournament promoters Baseline Ventures are a leading sports management company and have a long-term vision for the PVL,” he added.

Former India volleyball international Mr. Thulasi Reddy said Tamil Nadu has a long and cherished volleyball history and pointed out that Chennai is now a major volleyball hub in southern India.

“Colleges like SRM, St Joseph’s, Panimalar, Loyola, DB Jain and DG Vaishnav and clubs like Chennai Spikers and Nellai Friends, to name a few, passionately promote volleyball, and there are so many talented players emerging from these institutions on a regular basis,” CTO Mr. Thulasi Reddy stated.

Mr. SabariRajan, the COO, said the management will do its best to promote local talent by picking them at the auction.
